The
clerk of the national assembly Thomas Kashililah, has said that
members of the constituent assembly will be given ana allowance of
300 Tshs per day and not 700,000Tshs as was rumored earlier.
The
assembly that is to start tomorrow will officially be launched by the
President of Tanzania Dr Jakaya Mrisho kikwete on the 24th
after the election of the chairperson and appointment of the
secretary and deputy secretary.
The
assembly that comprises over 600 members, includes the over 350
members of the union Parliament, over 80 members of the house of
representatives and the 201 members that have been recently appointed
by the president.
